Jacques was a prolific political cartoonist, poking fun at the vagaries of French politics, and world diplomacy. Most of his work appeared in the French weekly Paris Match. Others in Marie Claire, Elle and Esquire. His more satirical works were published in the Canard Enchaine, and Candide.
This particular issue of Paris Match marked the first anniversary of Giscard's Presidency. Jacques was asked to illustrate its most savory moments in a 6 page spread of drawings.
